The Amazing Adventures of Pregnancy (T.A.A.P.) is proud to highlight the one and only Ms. Teresa Baker;

Wife, Mother, Former Lobbyist, Creator and CEO of BBBG, Manager of Baker Solutions, LLC, Publisher, Epitome of Black Girl Magic, and author of Josie’s Bedazzled Shoes, and stay at home mother to 3.

What I admire about Ms. Teresa Baker- is she has tapped (‘T.A.A.P’) into her purpose-

Teresa Baker is aware of her purpose and is walking in it with purposeful strides towards her destiny.

She has launched a movement: Brown Boy Brown Girl that will enlighten, empower, and inspire brown boys and girls through reading while celebrating the diversity of brown children.

Currently this Amazing Stay at Home Mom perfectly describes her current role as a Stay At Home Mom of 3.

By, Teresa Baker

“Pre-children I never thought I would be a homemaker. One, I couldn’t conceptualize being one since I went to college and graduated with a degree in political science. In fact, I had dreams of one day running for office. But thank God for choices.

For almost 8 years I have been a full- time stay-at-home mom, and I wouldn’t trade in this experience for anything in the world. I love for my family to come home to home cooked meals (when I have time to prepare them), clean house, clothes, and spending the time needed so they can succeed in school, and other areas of their lives. I get joy from volunteering at the schools my kids attend, and messing up the house when I’m working on crafting items for their birthday parties, among other countless things I do.

However, the journey has not been an easy one, but the contributions I have made to my family, in this capacity, I find to be honorable. Mothering is never easy: for the stay- at -home mom, or for the mom who works outside of the home in addition to her motherly duties. Because all great moms make sacrifices. Moms are so strong. Moms are so invaluable. Moms are so dope.

Moms wear motherhood all sorts of ways. Let’s remember to respect and support those moms who make the sacrifice they feel is best to support their family needs.

Moms, keep rocking it out!
